Dr Emily Fergie   MBBS UWA FANZCA

 

Emily has been working in Private practice since 2016. 

She is a Western Australian local who has completed her Medical and Speciality Anaesthetic training here in Perth, and now works exclusively in Private practice. 

She has extensive experience in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery/ Cosmetic Surgery/ Orthopaedic Surgery and has a passion for obtaining optimum results in all day case related procedures.

Emily is married with 2 boys. She enjoys cooking and coastal life.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery 

(MBBS UWA 2006)

Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA 2015)

Simulation and Adult Trauma Fellowship

Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education - Flinders University 2015.

Instructor Emergency Management Anaesthetic Crises (Emac).

 

Professional Education

 

Emily undertook her schooling in Western Australia and onto University studying Medicine at the University of Western Australia. She gained 3 years of experience at Fremantle Hospital and Wangaratta Hospitals in Victoria before returning to WA for Anaesthetic training. She was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand college of Anaesthetists in 2015. During her Senior Fellowship year, Emily  gained additional knowledge in Simulation as an educational tool for doctors. She also spent time in Adult Trauma management. Emily has worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist in Albany Hospital before returning to full time Private Practice and Joining Precision Anaesthesia in 2020.  Emily has an interest in Day Case Hospital management of patients and has served on the Medical Advisory Committee Board for Day of Procedure Hospitals.
