Dr Jennifer Liddell
Dr Jennifer Liddell is an Australian-trained anaesthetist. She graduated with honours from her medical degree at Monash University (Vic). After completing specialty training at several major hospitals in Victoria she was awarded a fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. Dr Liddell also holds a Masters in Bioethics, which provides advanced knowledge related to patient consent, privacy, and decisions around health resources, clinical care, and ethical standards.
Dr Jennifer Liddell is a staff specialist anaesthetist at Fiona Stanley Hospital and holds leadership positions in theatre sustainability and personnel welfare. She works privately at a number of hospitals around Perth and anaesthetises for all surgical subspecialties, other than cardiothoracics. She has a special interest in orthopaedic, spine, breast, plastic and cosmetic, colorectal, and obstetric surgery, and has advanced skills in regional anaesthesia for pain management. Several times a year she travels with Ear Nose and Throat surgeons to the Kimberley region so children and adults can have their surgery locally.
Dr Jennifer Liddell will always review and discuss your medical history preoperatively, answer questions, and plan a safe anaesthetic for you. For the majority of patients this will occur in hospital on the day of surgery. It is important that you complete the Precision Anaesthesia questionnaire and, where possible, upload a medical summary from your GP as an attachment. Depending on the complexity of your surgery and anaesthesia a consultation may be required, either in Dr Liddell’s rooms or via telephone or videoconference.
