After training at the University of Wales College of Medicine, Doctor Edwards moved to Perth in 2006 to pursue a career in Anaesthesia and Critical Care Medicine. He completed his anaesthesia training in Perth through the Western Australian training programme, working in all of the state’s major tertiary centres.

He currently holds a public appointment with the Fiona Stanley – Fremantle Hospital group and is accredited throughout the Private hospitals in Perth. His professional interests include bariatric, neuro, orthopaedic and plastic surgery.

Outside of the operating theatre he has a keen interest in Medical Leadership and Education, obtaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Aberdeen in 2015.

Prior to your procedure Dr Edwards will always see and speak to you. During this time he will go through any relevant issues and risks pertaining to your anaesthesia and also allow you any time needed to ask any questions you may have prior to commencing.

Depending on the complexity of your anaesthesia and operation, a face-to-face consultation may be required, either in his rooms, or via Skype / FaceTime.

​

After your procedure Doctor Edwards is always happy to talk if you have any queries or concerns. He is readily contactable through his rooms at Precision Anaesthesia or via the hospital you had your procedure at.

In regards to out of pocket expenses most  health funds will incur a shortfall expense because most insurance companies do not cover the full Anaesthetic fee . Please check with his rooms for quotes and other billing enquiries. Outside of work Doctor Edwards is a married father of three children who enjoys making the most of all the wonderful WA lifestyle offers with his family and friends.
