Dr Aria Lokon

Dr Aria Lokon is a specialist anaesthetist based in Perth. He completed medical school at the University of Western Australia followed by internship at Royal Perth Hospital. Prior to commencing specialist anaesthesia training he worked as a junior doctor in numerous fields including emergency medicine, intensive care, trauma surgery, and hospital medicine. Subsequently, Dr Lokon completed his five year specialist training with rotations through all the major public hospitals in Perth. During his training he was awarded the Certificate of Merit for excellence in the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists primary examination. After completion of his training, he worked in Toronto for a year of subspecialty fellowship experience in advanced airway management with a focus on anaesthesia for obstetric patients and cancer patients. He now works in Perth in both the public and private sectors across a wide range of surgical and procedural specialties.

Dr Lokon holds a teaching hospital appointment at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital where he works as a consultant anaesthetist and takes a strong interest in training junior doctors. He has also taught at numerous conferences and he is an Advanced Life Support instructor for other doctors and healthcare workers.
